hi, thanks for your reply.
I installed with MSDE version 2000 and also saved mine in a folder C:MSDERelA.
< p> I tried to set the default incident configuration to use authentication mode. Windows, a simple run completion:
on the command line.
My computer replied: Windows XP configuration
< p>Please go to control panel and install and then configure system components.
I still don’t know what to do to configure “MSDE type 2000 Release A” and MSDE 2.Release system components 000 A to run on my PC!!! Please help and advise me again.
Let me tell you two more things I’m thinking:
(1) I tried Microsoft Server sql Developer Edition 2000 in Hadbe fr PC before installing MSDE 2000 Release A. Now “Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Developer Edition” and “MSDE Release 2000 A” can be found next to my PC because they were not successfully installed and configured. Can these twoSQL Server coexist and run on other PCs with Windows XP Pro?
(2) recommended the following for testing SQL Server on my Http://localhost/NorthDB/ch13_ex01 PC:.asp
Last end result is the test mentioned above below:

Theoretically, you can't have two real name instances.
Step Remove 1: SQL from all server instances, if installed.Set
dev step: as default release instance.
Step 3: Install as an instance named msderela
Use this install command to.
< p>Use this command to install.
setup INSTANCENAME="InstanceName" SAPWD="AStrongSAPwd"
< securitymode=sql p>Step 4. Verify that the two installations after SQL Server Services are running.
Step 5. Verify the connection string of the ASP page the one you are pointing to. 6.
Step. If users have the same errors Get, enterprise, open the Manager and save your SQL Server. Click the Security tab and make sure the server accepts mixed mode authentication. Attach all GIFs to view for.

Thanks for the valuable instructions.
I'm new to Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Developer Edition and MSDE 1500 Release A and I don't even know what you mean by "SQL Server instances" and whether there is any doubt which instances have been installed and which have not. So I really have no idea how to do this after step 1 of your guide.
First, I don't know if Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Edition MSDE and 20 00 Version A is actually running installed on my PC . I went further into Control Panel => Add/Remove Programs and saw SQL "Microsoft Server 2000" and SQL "Microsoft Server 2000 Reporting Services Developer Edition". So I think I have "Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Developer Edition" installed on myPC but was not set up properly, "MSDE 2000 and Release A" was not installed on my PC. Should I try using MSDERelA as a named instance as you suggested in step 3 of your guide?Speed up your computer today with this quick and easy download.
